Glasgow School of Art graduate Diana Hand is an experienced artist, with a special gift for drawing horses with freedom and spontaneity.

In the workshop she will demonstrate an approach to drawing which combines free expression and experimentation with the principles of equine structure. You will have the rest of the day to work from your own ideas and images, or to gain inspiration from Diana’s library of books and photographs along with  her personal advice and guidance as desired.

This class is suitable for all artists from complete beginners to those with more experience. Paper and basic drawing materials are supplied, but you are free to bring your own favourite medium.  Tea and coffee and light refreshments are provided free, but please bring a packed lunch. Numbers are limited to 10 per class, and pre-booking is essential.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION  please contact Diana on info@dianahand.com  or 07403414312

VENUES IN SCOTLAND

The GARGUNNOCK workshops will  take place in the Gargunnock Community Centre, Leckie Road, Gargunnock, FK8 3BJ, near Stirling.  Gargunnock is a beautiful rural location looking out across the Forth Vallery towards the Highlands in the north. Our studio space for the day is a perfect space lit by large skylights and open to the adjacent garden area if weather conditions are right.  The Gargunnock Inn is very close if you wish to visit for lunch (1-2).

ABERDEENSHIRE .  Workshops will be held at Belwade Farm,  Aboyne.  Belwade is a centre for World Horse Welfare.  Not only is it a fascinating and worth-while place to visit, but with luck we will have some live models!
