Diana has been
working on cloth since 1985. She enjoys the freedom and fluidity
of dye, and the fact that painted and dyed cloth is three
dimensional and wearable, and has its independent
existence.
Until recently she was
happy to work with simple mark-making, enjoying
random
colour and texture in quite a painterly way.
However, she has now become interested in controlling the medium
by means of screen-printing, either with cut shapes or photo-stencils. With this
method, she can express ideas as well as enjoy the
materials.
